Copa off and running
June 28 – 2007
Amid reports of dressing room fractures and calls for a managerial change, Mexico conjured up two of the finest goals you’ll see in their 2- 0 victory over Brazil. So glad we sent our “B” team to this clearly second rate tourney. (video courtesy 101greatgoals)

Damn Nery Castillo is soo good.

is it just me, or do other people root for mexico as long as they aren’t playing the USMNT? North American solidarity, anyone?

Yes, of course, it’s Brazil’s brilliant decision to start the goalie who conceded 7 goals in one game.

Omac-Absolutely not. My hatred for them runs deep. Especially following Sanchez’s attempted cheap shot following the last game.
ian-Castillo is unbelievable. He killed us last weekend.
It’s really too bad we will never know how things would have turned out had our “A” team been out against Argentina yesterday.
Mexico might do in the COPA what we should be doing and that makes me want to throw up.

Hugo Sanchez is in no danger of losing his job now. Great job in this tournament so far.
