Lukey the Czech for 3/31/07
March 31 -2007

Lukey the Czech is back from his hiatus, ready to attack the weekend fixtures. He hangs tough with $146.29(based on $5 and $10 mythical wagers), and that averages out to roughly 28 Candy Store lap-dances (plus tip).  Join Lukey for some Pilsener soaked, strawberry perfumed picks…after the jump.
Â
Pick of the Week:
Let me first apologize for my lack of postings as I’ve suffered a recent run of distractions, including:
1) a very difficult root canal (must be God’s punishment for taking Garth to The Candy Store and filling him with alcohol)
2) a recent trip to Palm Springs which helped cement my solid yet hacker-like handicap of 11
3) an obsession with the NYSE that has led to daily tampering in the derivatives market.
Back to business. There is so much going on this weekend it’s difficult to keep all my action in order. Before we get into it, let me just make mention of one thing: I really need Florida to play Ohio State in the NCAA final with the Gators coming out as victors. Should that happen, my bank account will see a nice deposit and I’ll finally get my wife to believe that I know what I’m doing.
The Valley is the sight of this weekends clash between Charlton and Wigan, and so my lock of the week comes wrapped inside a relegation battle. Â After mostly piss poor showings this season, both of these teams are 2-0-1 in their last 3 fixtures - quite impressive indeed.
Although I’m a huge fan of Paul Jewell and his Polo shirts, I’m with the home team this time. I also find it quite interesting that an old Hammer is leading Charlton out of relegation; nice call, West Ham. Charlton’s home form has been decent while Wigan have twice as many losses as wins on the road. The battle to survive is epitomized by this game and I think Charlton pull it out, even though Matt Holland is one of the weirdest looking dudes in the world….2-0.
