Lukey the czech
November 17 – 2006

For two weeks in a row, we’d made mistakes tabulating Lukey’s bankroll. It will never happen again. Why? Because we’re terrified of the Czech people.
Lukey the Czech is up $121.27 (based on $5 and $10 mythical wagers). We’re sure. Very, very sure.
Lukey’s picks are after the jump.
Pick of the Week:
It was beautiful, wasn’t it – watching the Gunners pick apart Liverpool last week. The bankroll didn’t fare as well last week, but remember: focus on the picks and not the result. For example, Man City didn’t win as we predicted but they bombarded the Newcastle goal only to come away with a draw; still a good pick from my standpoint. Unfortunately the result in soccer doesn’t always go to the team that deserves it. Having said that, I remain confident going forward and assure you there is money to be made.
This week we’re off to Majeski Stadium. Although I’ve always thought it dangerous to be against a team with some form of adversity/confusion/coaching change/etc (ie. New Orleans Saints) I’m not worried about betting against Charlton. Before Iain Dowie got the sack, I really think he f’d things up for the worse…not to mention this wasn’t exactly a stellar team to begin with. They’ve scored 9 goals in league play, and 7 have come off the foot of Darren Bent. I love Bent, but the 22 year old is questionable for the game. Reading suffered through a tough stretch of their own until last weeks 3-1 beating of Tottenham. They are at home again this week, and as I said earlier this year, I’m impressed by their coaching, work rate, and how they play for each other (additionally I love the uniforms)….don’t forget that I’ve predicted them to stay up, and they will. I can’t believe the odds are almost even on them winning at home….to me, that’s money waiting to be taken. Reading runs away again….3-1.
